Jessica Listwa, DMD

About:

Dr. Jessica Listwa knew she wanted to be a pediatric dentist since she was three years old, when she was first made comfortable by a dentist – and their stickers. Now she works each day to put her patients first, taking care to make sure each child is comfortable and that she is making the best decisions to help them overall, as well as to support their dental health.

Having joined Simply Beautiful Smiles in 2021, Dr. Listwa is excited to be a part of a larger dental organization with expertise in practice management and available support for her pediatric practice.

Dr. Listwa is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Development Medicine and Dentistry, Northeast Society of Pediatric Dentists and the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is on the board of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Committee’s Council on Clinical Affairs, Committee on Special Health Care Needs.

After graduating from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Dr. Listwa attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she received her DMD with Honors in Community Service. She completed her residency at the University of Connecticut/Connecticut Children’s Medical Center with a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.

In her free time, Dr. Listwa is an outspoken advocate for special needs kids. She runs a website for caregivers and parents called ExceptionalSmiles.Org, which offers advice and recommendations for improving oral health and hygiene for people with special needs. She is also clinical director at Special Smiles in New Jersey, which offers comprehensive oral health care for Special Olympic athletes. Dr. Listwa also enjoys playing tennis and Broadway musicals.
