Dr. Sameer Kapoor started his professional career as a college professor teaching Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology. However, it was always his dream to become a dentist, so he left teaching and enrolled in dental school at The State University of New York.

After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery, Dr. Kapoor pursued a master’s degree in Periodontology and a Minor in Oral Pathology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). During his time in Indianapolis, he worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he received advanced training in dental implant surgery, gum grafting, bone grafting, oral surgery, sedation, and oral medicine. Dr. Kapoor credits his time at the Veteran’s Center for his ability to create a calming environment for his patients with high anxiety.

Dr. Kapoor’s extensive medical journey prepared him well in understanding how oral health plays into a patient’s overall health. He is passionate about getting to know his patients and offering them the most state-of-the-art techniques in periodontics and dental implant surgery.
